DENTAL HYGIENE PRODUCTS FOR
DOGS AND CATS

Toothbrushes and CET toothpasteNo Description resized to 600 pixels wide resized to 800 pixels wide

Most veterinary dentists agree that daily brushing is the most effective way to keep plaque (the invisible slimey layer of bacteria that coats the teeth every 8 hours) and tartar (the hard, yellow build up that you see) off your pet's teeth.  Most dogs and cats love the CET poultry flavored tooth paste and unlike human toothpaste, it is safe for them to eat!

Oravet Plaque Prevention GelNo Description

If your pet has a clean tooth surface, like most puppies and kittens and pets that have just had their teeth cleaned, this is the easiest way to prevent plaque and tartar. Oravet Gel is applied once weekly to your pets teeth.  It seals the enamel so that plaque cannot adhere to the teeth.

Hill's prescription Diet t/dNo Description

T/d is dry food that can be fed as a low calorie diet for dogs and cats.  Many pet owners use t/d as treats to help 'clean' their pet's teeth.  It is a large piece of kibble that helps prevent plaque and tartar thereby decreasing gingivitis (inflammation of the gums). This food works very well on the chewing teeth but not on the front teeth.  Dogs and cats should eat several pieces (6-8) daily for t/d to be effective.

Maxigard GelNo Description

This zinc containing gel can be squirted directly into the mouth or applied to the teeth and gums to reduce plaque.  It works very well to reduce gingivitis when used once daily in cats and dogs.

CET Chews

CET has rawhide chews for dogs and treats for cats that No Descriptioncontain enzymes that help to break down plaque.  As with any rawhide product, we recommend that pets be supervised while eating these to prevent choking. Similar to the t/d, this product works best on the back, chewing teeth.
