Services

Because of the shorter lifespan of our pets, we stress the importance of an annual physical examination for young animals and an exam every six months for animals seven years old and older. Thorough check-ups and preventive care can help alleviate serious health problems.  We offer a wide range of veterinary services to keep your companions feeling their best:

Surgical Services:  Our state-of-the-art surgical suite provides for the performance of a wide variety of surgical procedures, including elective procedures (spay, neuter, declaw), major abdominal surgery, tumor removals, and cruciate ligament repair.  We also have the ability to perform laparoscopic surgery.

Endoscopy:  We have both flexible and rigid edoscopes that aid in the diagnosis of gastrointestinal, urinary, respiratory and ear diseases.

Anesthesia:  We use the most current anesthetics to provide an extra margin of safety, especially for our older or high-risk patients. By utilizing a wide variey of pain-killers, we ensure that your pet has a stress free anesthetic experience.  Using the most modern equipment, the patient's vital signs are monitored during all anesthetic procedures in the same way that a human is monitored by an anesthesiologist.

Radiology Services:  Our on-site X-ray equipment provides high quality radiographs to aid in the quick diagnosis of many disorders.  In additon, a board certified radiologist performs ultrasound examinations on our patients once monthly in our hospital.

Dentistry:  Our dental services include teeth cleaning and polishing, dental X-rays, tooth extractions, minor oral surgery, and periodontal therapy.  Our technicians belong to the American Society of Veterinary Dental Techniciains.  In addition to general anesthesia, we utilize local nerve blocks to eliminate any pain associated with tooth extraction.

Laboratory:  Our in-house laboratory facilities provide for serum chemistry, hematology, cytology, serology, urinalysis, parasite testing, and bacterial/fungal culture.  We also utilize commercial veterinary laboratories for specialized diagnostics and consultations.

Permanent identification:  We offer microchip identification with the AVID microchip system.

Pharmacy:  We maintain a complete inventory of pharmaceuticals, vitamins, shampoos, flea and tick control products and heartworm preventatives to meet the needs of your pet. We also carry and can order prescription diets.

Boarding:  We provide pet boarding as a service to our clients.  All boarders receive personal attention from our caring staff.  Pets may be dropped off, one hour prior to closing, during regular business hours.  Pick up from boarding is anytime after 10am during regular business hours Monday through Saturday.  Our boarding policy is available for your viewing.

Grooming:
Routine and therapeutic bathing services are available through our groomer, Polly, by appointment only.

Emergency Care:
We do provide emergency care for pets during our regular working hours.  Should a pet need after-hour emergency care, please call:
