Karen is the new Hospital Manager at Clark Animal Care Center. Karen has an Associates Degree in Business Administration from Monroe Community College. She was previously employed at Gap Inc. 22 years. During that time Karen gained strong customer service skills, business management skills and how to build and maintain strong teams. Karen prides herself on how she can make connections with people and the 4 legged creatures that come into the office. Karen’s transition to the veterinary world had been a desire for many years based on her love of animals. She was looking for a career in which she could be part of something she was truly passionate about. The opportunity finally came and she welcomed it fully.
Karen was born in Rochester and her whole family is still in the area. She has an older brother and sister who each have 2 children with whom she is very close to. Karen’s parents live close to her home and are frequent babysitters to her dog. She is the proud mother of Kiki D , a 6 year black lab mix she adopted from Lollypop Farm. Kiki stole her heart from the moment she saw her. Karen always names her pets after a favorite song or musical artist. So Kiki D is named after the Elton John/Kiki Dee song “ Don’t go breakin’ my heart”. Her fist dog Lola, a Pitt mix was also adopted from Lollypop Farm. Karen chooses to adopt or rescue those pets who need homes and has had 2 great dogs in her adult life!
Karen is excited about this next chapter in her professional career. She looks forward to learning as much as she can about the veterinary world and become part of giving great care to the Clients at Clark.

Carrie is a member of the Society of Veterinary Behavior Technicians.
Carrie has been married since 2004 and has a couple of “furry” family members. They are Bruce- weimaraner mix, and Earl-siamese. In her time away from Clark, she likes to do agility training with Bruce and dog obedience work.
Jennifer, Licensed Veterinary Technician
Jennifer has been working as a veterinary technician at Clark Animal Care since 1998. She has been a licensed tech for the last 20 years, having graduated from Canton Agriculture/Technical College in 1986. Her position here is an “animal nurse” where she monitors anesthesia, runs lab work, does radiology, performs client education, prepares for surgical procedures, monitors patients that need intensive care, and all the other basic animal nursing duties. What she likes best about the position is the interaction with clients and educating them about their pets, and of course, she enjoys working with the animals.
Jennifer must like it here, as she drives 50 miles to get to work! Jennifer grew up in Pulaski, New York. Her mom was a home economics teacher, her dad a well driller. She has an older brother and 7 nieces and nephews, and 2 god daughters. Her 4 footed family consists of 2 cats (Harley and Howitzer), a rescue dog (Lady Hannah) and a bunny (Harry). She has many more pets that are still cherished in her heart. Outside of enjoying animals, Jennifer pursues various outdoor activities – skiing (downhill and cross-country), kayaking, and camping. She also likes to read, do crafts, and spend time with her husband and family. She is also an active member of the DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution).
Heather, Licensed Veterinary Technician and Inventory Manager
Heather started as a veterinary assistant here at Clark Animal Care in 2004. In 2008, Heather graduated from Alfred State College with her Veterinary Technician license and started her technician career immediately. Living at home with her and husband, Antonio, are Linin (a Boston Terrier), Diego and Darth (2 cats), Digit (a Leaf Tail Gecko from Madagascar), 100 Dart Frogs, and growing! In her free time, Heather enjoys teaching Linin new tricks, watching movies with Antonio, and shopping.
Laura, Licensed Veterinary Technician
Laura is another one of our technicians. She enjoys working with animals and being able to help them. Laura has worked at Lollipop since she was 14 years old. She helped with the farm, clinics, and camps and anything else you can think of while there. Laura has 5 animals of her own; a husky/sheltie mix named Mindy, 5 cats named Pete, Snickers, Hannah, Brooklyn and Elizabeth. Outside of her animals, her interests include history and shopping.
Jordan, Licensed Veterinary Technician
Jordan started here with us at CACC in 2007 as a kennel attendant. After working with the animals and staff here, she decided to get her degree as a veterinary technician at SUNY Canton, graduating in 2012.
She and her Husband Andrew have a son named Adrian and three rescues – a papillion named “Louie”, and two cats named “Mr. Sandman” and “Man in the Moon” (aka “Manny”). Jordan enjoys spending time outdoors – specifically hiking and camping, reading, and spending time with her son, friends, and other family members. Animals and their well being have always been a passion of hers, and she loves to help people feel secure in knowing their furred-family members are receiving high quality care. Jordan says, even if she did not work at Clark Animal Care Center, she would continue to bring her pets here, because of her confidence in the knowledgeable and compassionate doctors and support staff – she takes great pride in our hospital.

He also enjoys listening to music, Xbox (and other games with friends), working on cars, watching a variety of TV shows and reading.
He has one older sister, Sarah, who is currently working on her PhD at UPenn! His family has always had at least two cats in the house. Currently they have Maggie, a tuxedo cat, and Graycie, a long haired silver tabby.
In December of 2018 Chris graduated from Medaille College and is now a Licensed Veterinary Technician with Clark Animal Care Center.

Jennifer has 3 dogs, Bosley (a Pug, Beagle, and Jack Russell mix), Shea Lynn (a Jack Russell and Fox Terrier mix), and Tallulah (a rescued Pug mix) and 2 kitties named Chai and Beastie. Jennifer enjoys photography, running, traveling, and when home, cuddling with her dogs and cats.

Maria began working at Clark in May 2015. She has a diverse background including graphic design, IT, and copy editing, but what she enjoys most is working with people. Her focus as a receptionist is on making sure our clients feel welcome, and getting to see and pet their furry friends is an added bonus.
Maria’s pet family includes two dogs, Gypsy and Merlin. She collects fountain pens and dolls, and enjoys reading and playing board games, but her favorite hobby is finding more hobbies.

Patrick got married in October of 2004, and has 2 dogs and a cat. He plays ice hockey in an adult league.
