Hurrah! We have again received accreditation following a comprehensive evaluation by the American Animal Hospital Association. It is a privilege to be counted among the top 17% of small animal practices in the United States and Canada that are AAHA-accredited. It is also a responsibility. To the pet loving public, as well as to our peers, we represent the best in veterinary medicine. At Clark Animal Care Center, we strive to uphold this high quality patient care throughout our daily routines. AAHA hospitals must pass a stringent evaluation of over 900 standards covering patient care, client service and medical protocols. We have to demonstrate superior medical and surgical care of our patients. There must be on-site availability of progressive medical and surgical equipment. Hospital cleanliness, medical record keeping, and pain management of patients are some of the things that are judged. In order to maintain accredited status, we must be evaluated regularly by the association’s consultants. By becoming an AAHA hospital member in 1995, we have shown a commitment to excellence in small animal health care.
Established in 1933, the American Animal Hospital Association is the only organization that accredits veterinary practices throughout the U.S. and Canada for dedication to high standards in veterinary care. For more pet care information, visit www.healthypet.com.
The AAHA inspector’s parting words were a pleasure to hear. This is what she said:
“It was my pleasure to work with you during your re-accreditation evaluation today. The warmth, professionalism, enthusiasm and compassion of your staff are apparent. You can be proud of their accomplishments and the exceptional client/patient service you offer.”
